Safe Hands Human Resources Organization successfully conducted an event – “Inauguration of Single Women Action Network (SWAN) & Survivor Forum” on 17th September 2025 at Hotel Arun, Trichy. The event brought together single women, survivors, and community members to discuss legal rights, POA & POSH Acts, Domestic Violence Act, and other support systems. Through inspiring sessions and discussions, the program highlighted the importance of knowledge, awareness, and collective strength in building safer and empowered communities. Also Swan initiates their works under these concepts: -The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 -The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 -Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 -The Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 -Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) POSH Act, 2013. -The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) POA Act, 1989. -Also they have given awareness about the free helpline numbers and its benefits. This initiative marks a step forward in strengthening support networks for single women and survivors. We sincerely thank all the participants, guests, and supporters who made this event impactful.
